Shannon Golding (Cribbin), PT, DPT, CCRT
Shannon earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Indiana State University in 2021. Her passion for rehabilitation began during PT school when she fostered a cat named Doodle, who had suffered a broken pelvis and nerve damage. Using techniques she was learning at the time, Shannon helped restore Doodle’s mobility, inspiring her to explore rehabilitation for animals.
After graduation, Shannon worked in outpatient orthopedics, gaining skills she now applies to her canine patients. In 2022, she began studying canine rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) in May 2023. Shortly thereafter, she founded South Sound Canine Rehabilitation to bring compassionate, evidence-based care to pets in their own homes. She continues to see human patients one day per week to maintain her clinical skills.
Her experience in human PT allows her to explain complex conditions in familiar terms, such as how ACL tears in humans are similar to CCL injuries in dogs, helping pet owners understand their dog’s treatment plan.
When she’s not working with her two- and four-legged patients, Shannon enjoys running, baking, gardening, and exploring the outdoors. She shares her home with her husband, two dogs - a German Shepherd and a Lab/Heeler mix - and four cats, keeping her life full of laughter, adventure, and plenty of fur.
